Watr Restaurant Review: View Aside, Are The Food And Drinks Worth It?

This Watr Restaurant review should get you set on what to expect in one of the best restaurants in Miami Beach. Watr Restaurant Florida, located at 2341 Collins Ave, is getting such a buzz with its amazing food and great rooftop view.

As a foodie and chef, I am always after a good gastronomical experience. And with articles published on sites such as Edible Arrangements, my posts are bound to guide you to the where and what when it comes to food.

So check out this rising star from South Beach.

Do they accept walk-ins, or should I make a reservation?

Although there are reports that they allow walk-ins, the best thing to do is make a reservation if you and your companions are not guests of the hotel. They are almost always fully booked, plus they also cater to private affairs such as a corporate events, so it is possible that they would turn you away if you don't have existing reservations. Do note that minors or those under the age of 21 can only join dinners if accompanied by an adult.

No children are allowed before 5 p.m.

What's the ambience of the place like?

Watr Restaurant Florida sits on top of the 1 Hotel Rooftop, an 18-story building, giving it a 360-degree view of South Beach's amazing views, letting your eyes feast while you enjoy its food. The modern wood and white decor splashed with a bit of color make for a relaxed vibe, perfect for al fresco dining while basking under the sun. You can also enjoy a dip in their pool.

You can enjoy the cool water of their gorgeous pool, which is only for adults, so you don't have to worry about kids splashing around you. At night, you can expect a vibrant atmosphere as a DJ plays to entertain people while you enjoy their cocktails and drinks.

How's the customer service of the staff?

Knowing that this restaurant is always buzzing with people, their staff can still give great service. They are helpful when it comes to food recommendations and assistance. They are on point and will never rush you, no matter how busy the place gets.

What food items do you recommend ordering?

Their menu caters to vegetarians and meat-lovers alike. They also have a menu for your kids if they are picky eaters, such as chicken tenders. They are known for their Japanese food and seafood, so I suggest trying some of those.

Try out their sushi rolls, including their Watr roll or truffle scallop roll, ceviche, and shrimp anticuchos. All good for anyone who wants some fresh fish and other seafood. Choose some salads on the side for your meals.

They also pride themselves in their massive juicy burgers, the vegan and Watr burger. Also, check out their chicken yakisoba noodles with vegetables, scallions, and tonkatsu sauce. Let your palate enjoy a refreshing salmon poke with sushi rice, avocado, and Asian slaw.

Finish your meal with some yuzu raspberry orb or their mochi ice cream if you want to cool down.

What can you say about their food and drinks?

Their foods and drinks match the aesthetic of the place. Their food can be described as Peruvian cuisine that meets Japanese specialties. Expect fresh seafood, too!

The food is presented well, but make sure you order enough if you have a big appetite. They also have plenty of great drinks and an awesome craft beer selection. While there's a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, sake, beer, and cocktail, their prices can be a bit steep, so always ask before ordering your drink of choice since they don't have happy hour.

When is the best time to visit?

Lunch and dinner are served daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. but if you want to hit the bar and lounge, try visiting from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays. You can stay later at night until 2 a.m. from Fridays to Saturdays. You can also enjoy the majestic Miami sunset if you want to make the most of your experience by booking a reservation in the afternoon.

Try dodging your visit during rainy seasons as it gets very limited seating during that time.

Would you visit this restaurant again?

I can say Watr is a restaurant I would visit again, especially because one can enjoy their hand-crafted cocktails while enjoying the awe-inspiring view. With the array of dishes to try, one has to come more than once to experience their food completely.
